It sounds a bit like a fairy tale: ‘Once upon a time, there lived a good king — the best in all the land — who loved his people and was loved by them in return...’ But, as any student of fairy tales knows, the story never ends there. And the story of Advent is no different.
— from "God With Us: Daily musings for the season of Advent"

God With Us: Daily musings for the season of Advent is an e-book with short readings for each day from December 1—25. I wrote the series so I could get the too-familiar Christmas story out of my own head and see it with fresh eyes, and now it’s available for you as well.

How do I get a copy?

God With Us is available as a PDF that can be added to your e-reader or printed. You also have the option to have each day’s reading emailed directly to your inbox beginning on December 1.

This Advent reading is currently accessible to you at no charge but, in recognition of the amount of work that has gone into the writing and making of this, I am offering the option in your confirmation message to make a suggested donation of $2 via PayPal or Venmo. The donation isn’t necessary to receive a copy of the book — and I won’t be tracking who does or doesn’t — but it takes a rather large amount of blood, sweat, and tears to create something like this and the recognition of the work involved is very much appreciated!

The Nitty-Gritty

By filling out the short form below and providing your email address, you will receive instant access in the form of a link to download a PDF of the e-book. From there, you can add it to your computer or mobile device e-reader. (Most e-readers will automatically support it, but if yours doesn’t, check out this article for help.) If you prefer to read on paper, you can print your copy at home or at any library, Staples, FedEx, OfficeMax, or other store with a copy/print center. (Print double-sided in black and white and it should only cost $3-4. Even if you add fancy binding, your total cost will still be less than most paperback books.)

Want to receive emails with each day’s reading — beginning on December 1? Check the box to request it when you provide your email address.

DISCLAIMER: By providing your email address, you will be added to the mailing list for my monthly newsletter, but you have my guarantee that I will NOT flood your inbox with emails! My newsletter goes out once each month — at the end of one or beginning of the next, depending on my schedule — and that’s it. Plus, you can always unsubscribe at any time and I’ll still be your friend.
